Bill Troy, President
Bill Troy has served as President since founding the company in 1997. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Troy worked as a strategic consultant for companies of all sizes (from Fortune 1000 firms such as Worthington Industries to startups like AuctionClub.Com), helping them integrate the Internet into their overall company strategy. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Troy worked for Chicago-based Strategic Media Research, a two-time Inc. 500 market research firm specializing in research for the radio, television, and music industries. Strategic clients included CBS, ABC, MTV Networks, and nearly every large radio broadcasting company in the U.S. Mr. Troy was a part of the product design and launch team for Strategic's "AccuRatings" radio audience measurement system. Prior to 1992, Mr. Troy served as Program Director for radio stations in various musical formats (including, Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Country, and Oldies) and cities across the U.S.
Jonathan Little, VP/Sales and Client Service
Jonathan Little has served as Vice President of Sales and Client Service since January of 1999. Prior to joining TroyResearch, Mr. Little worked for over 35 years in nearly every phase of radio broadcasting, including station ownership, management, sales, programming, and on-air talent. Mr. Little was chosen as the Radio Program Director of the Year in 1986 and 1987 by The Gavin Report and Radio Program/Operations Manager of the Year in 1988 by Billboard magazine. In addition to his radio industry experience, Mr. Little is also owner of Jonathan Little Management. Through this firm, he manages music artists such as Tim Weisberg, provides consulting expertise to various companies, and even works regularly as an in-demand voice talent for radio commercials.
Joseph Hoffman, VP/Sales and Client Service
Joseph Hoffman joined TroyResearch in February 2007 as Vice President of Sales and Client Service. Mr. Hoffman spent 20 years as a sales and marketing executive in the media industry. He has worked with companies of all sizes from locally-owned businesses to international organizations. His clients included Miller Brewing Company, Midwest Airlines, Coca-Cola, and Toyota Motor Company generating more than $15 million in advertising revenue and assisting in the development and implementation of their marketing and advertising strategies. Prior to joining TroyResearch, Mr. Hoffman managed a leading media sales organization assembling one of the most talented sales teams and outperforming market growth. Mr. Hoffman served on the board of directors for Journal Communications Inc. in 2000 and recently completed a two-year term as President of Lighthouse Youth Center, a non-profit organization serving underprivileged youth in the Milwaukee area. He continues to serve on the board of directors for that organization.
Hugh Cathey, Advisory Board Member
Hugh Cathey is a principal of Columbus Capital Partners which
is a provider of services to early-stage telecom and software
companies since 2000. Mr. Cathey was president of Qwest
Communications International's local broadband services
from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Cathey has over 20 years of experience
in the telecommunications industry. From 1996 to 2000,
he served as president of Nextlink Ohio, a Competitive
Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) owned by cellular phone pioneer
Craig McCaw. Previously, Mr. Cathey was president and CEO of
Digital Network, Inc. (DNI), a publicly traded telecom company
based in Dallas, Texas.
Mark Pomeroy, Advisory Board Member
Mark Pomeroy is Senior Information Technology and Intellectual Property
Counsel with Bank One Corporation in Columbus, Ohio. He previously was a
partner at the Columbus law firm of Bricker & Eckler LLP, and chair of
its cyberlaw practice group. In the mid-90's, he was also corporate
counsel at CompuServe. In these positions, Mark has helped businesses
make sense of unique legal and business issues related to information
technology and intellectual property, including information technology
acquisition, content acquisition, copyright, trademark, privacy, mergers
and acquisitions, international distribution, and telecommunications.
Ross Youngs, Advisory Board Member
Ross O. Youngs is Chief Executive Officer, President and Founder of the
five-time Inc. 500 firm Univenture,
Inc., an international manufacturer and distributor of CD packaging and
storage products. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Univenture also has
manufacturing operations in Reno, Nevada and Dublin, Ireland. Univenture
sells disc packaging worldwide to customers which include Microsoft, Sony,
Apple and 3M Corp.
