company history

TroyResearch was founded as RadioResearch.Com in 1997 as a partnership between Bill Troy and Strategic Media Research (a traditional telephone-based market research firm). In 1998, the partnership was dissolved and the company has been independently owned since then.
As our original RadioResearch.Com name implies, we began by working for radio stations and radio-related business is still important to us. To date, we have completed over 10 million surveys for radio stations--working in twelve languages, in sixteen countries, and on four continents.
However, because of the growing amount of work we were doing for companies in industries other than radio, it made sense to change our name to Troy Research in early 2001. Our new name reflects the company's growth outside of our original radio roots and our growth into a complete Internet-based research services provider.

We've continued to create new approaches that have proven successful for many different industries. And today, we work for some of the world's most recognized brands, including Sony, Disney and MTV.
